Shamanism or Shamanic Practice is, in its essence, about Connection to the Spirits
This includes Connnection to ourselves and connection to everything around us
When we can live from a place of Connection we are connected to not only our own
Power but the Power of the Universe
We can enjoy living a Power-filled existence
We can Be, act, and make decisions from a place of self-Love and self-Power

One simple way to connect to the Spirits is through Journeying.
We can Journey with the help of the Drums to meet with our Spirit Helpers to ask them for guidance, healing and support. We dont need to earn the help of the Spirits. They are there waiting to connect with us. Help may come in a miriad of ways and each Journey is unique and everyones relationship with the Spirits is unique. Help may come in the form of practical advice (your dog is not happy with his/her food!) or if appropriate the Spirits may bring healing to the animal in your care. Or healing and care for yourself. Anything is possible when working with the Spirits!
When working with the Spirits, help is not restricted to just working with you and your companion animal, but help, support, guidance and healing can be offered by them for a miriad of situations. You just have to ask!
There is one caveat though - the Spirits will bring us what we need, what our soul craves, which is not neccessarily what we think we need or what we want. For sure, it can be the case that we receive exactly what we want, but it's also important to remember that the Spirits have the bigger picture and so will bring us what we need.
Often I am truly grateful that they do!
