German Chamomile is an effective pain relieving oil when selected due to it's ability to inhibit Cox-2 - the enzyme which is partially responsible for the inflammatory and pain response. It is particularly useful in that unlike Wintergreen and Birch, German Chamomile inhibits only Cox-2 (as opposed to both Cox-1 and Cox-2) thus the stomach lining remains protected.
So far working well. Bought to help heal emotional struggle in my furball. Appears to be definitely helping in the overall plan of care, delighted.
