Mimosa Absolute (Acacia decurrens)
Your animal may select Mimosa when presenting with the following symptoms:
- Grieving – loss /separation
Mimosa, by it's nature, is solid at room temperature and as such you may need to warm the bottle prior to offering
Mimosa and Neroli and the two most commonly selected oils for grief and loss in equines. When an animal is 'letting go' or processing emotions of this nature, it is often necessary to offer supporting oils alongside emotional release oils to create an environment that supports the process.
Interestingly enough, the majority of horses suffering from Laminitis also select oils for grief.
Top Tip!
Mimosa is extremely thick and viscous, as with Rose Otto, put in your jean pocket at the begining of the session to warm before offering. Use a wooden stick (such as a coffee stirrer) to scrape the oil out of the bottle should your horse indicate that ingestion is required.
