Rosehip Shells - Organic (Rosa canina)
Your animal may select Rosehip shells when presenting with the following conditions:
- Anaemia
- Collagen and damaged tissue - wounds, laceration
- Depressed immune function
- Poor hoof and skin/coat condition
- Pigmentation disorders
- Respiratory Infection
- Sarcoids
- Scouring
- Vitamin deficiency
- Ulcers
Rosehip Shells are an extremely rich source of vitamin C (as well as vitamins A& K) hence the support they offer depressed immune function. They also have an astringent action making them useful to offer for scour. The biotin content within Rosehip Shells make them suitable to offer for poor hoof condition.
Rosehips are also effective at repairing collagen damage and therefore it is worth offering them to mares after foaling in order to speed up the healing of internal and external skin damage.

Offer Rosehip powder if you feel that your horse is likely to benefit more from the constituents of Rosehips going directly into the blood stream via the sub-lingual and buccal membranes (cheek lining and under the tongue).
