Dead Sea Mineral Mud has been proven to speed up the healing of wounds (see ref below) It is a mineral rich mud with drawing action that is particularly effective for suppurating wounds whilst offering protection from flies and debris. Its cell regeneration action means wounds heal quicker and the risk of infection is reduced significantly.

The drawing action of DSMM means that it can take the heat out of laminitic hooves - as can Peppermint essential oil. However it is quite drying which is great for suppurating wounds/sarcoids etc but consider Beeswax salve if you want a protective antibiotic action without the drying effect of the Mud.
