Barley Grass is an extremely nutritious super food containing all the essential amino acids required by equines that they are unable to produce themselves. It is particularly helpful for horses that are nervous and spooky (due to high magnesium content) or for the older horse whose digestive system is impaired.
Horses often select it when fodder/grazing quality is poor and need a top up of minerals and vitamins.
TOP TIP !
Lightly wet the scoop first with water before placing the powder in it for offering - thus avoiding your horse inhaling the dry powder which may put him/her off an otherwise needed supplement. Some horses like it dry and some like it in a paste and some as a smoothie-type consistency ! Work through the different options to find your horse's preferred method of ingesting the powder.
