Spirulina powder (Spirulina maxima)

Dogs may select Spirulina when presenting with the following symptoms:

Spirulina is very popular with dogs that have joint issues or skin issues such as itchy skin, allergies, dermatitis and dry skin. Offer dry or let down with a little water in an non-metallic bowl or on your finger. Spirulina is very high in chlorophyll which is processed by the liver. Should a dog have a under performing liver caution must be exercised as high levels of chlorophyll remaining in the blood can cause skin reactions due to it's photosensitive qualities.

​Spirulina is one of the extracts that can be selected if a dog wishes to purge unwanted toxins from the stomach - the other popular purging extracts being Coconut oil and Rice bran oil. 

Often dogs will drink out of a pond or a puddle in preference to their fresh bowl of tap water at home in order to avail of the green algae that is found within it ! Spirulina offers the cleaner healthier safer option !
